Why Is the Roulette Wheel at the Sands in Macao Missing the 00?

15 May 2008

By Frank Scoblete

Dear Frank:

I saw today a picture of the roulette table at the Sands in Macao, I have noticed that the 00 is missing. Is it a picture mistake or they just created a new single-zero wheel? The single zero has other numbers layout.

Thank you,
Chris

Dear Chris:

The single-zero wheel has been around a long time and is a much better game to play than the double-zero wheel. The numbers are somewhat different and the goal, as always, is to attempt to make the game as random as possible by not allowing the layout to actually reflect the numbers on the wheel. So you won't see a 1-2-3 on the wheel as you do on the layout.
