When Should I Increase My Bets?

I have read your Beat The Craps out of the Casinos book and I love it, and I have been practicing online, looking forward to some trips to the casinos.

There is a question I have which maybe you've answered before, but I haven't found it clarified.

For the high roller system, the Pilgrim's Progression, in the book, I'm confused on when to increase the bets if I'm winning.

You say, that once you hit four times, after the fifth win, increase the 6 and 8 bets. Do you mean that once you've gotten 5 wins, then increase your bet? Or once you've gotten 4 wins, increase the bet so that your 5th win is higher? It's a little confusing. Can you state it like this:

• 4 wins, then increase 6 and 8;
• 2 more wins, bet the 4 or 10 (whichever you don't have);
• 2 more wins, then increase the 6 and 8;
• 2 more wins, then increase either 4 or 10;
• 1 more win, increase the other of the 4 or 10... etc., etc.

I'm sure I'm close, but I think the first might be 5 wins and then 3 wins.

The answer is...you can go up after the fourth win or the fifth win. You can also use your betting plan described in your letter. The betting ideas in Beat the Craps Out of the Casinos are geared to random players. As you know ultimately the casino takes its edge from every bet you make.

Since the publication of that book almost 20 years ago I have limited myself to playing at tables with Golden Touch controlled shooters who actually shoot with an edge over the house. My betting on random rollers is now down to one minimum Come bet with Odds.
