Hi, Frank:
I was watching the program about Dom "the Dice Dominator" on the Biography Channel's "Breaking Vegas" series. It occurred to me that it is better for the shooter to just have a minimum bet on the pass line and not exhibit the behavior that will draw the heat.
The betting is best done by their partner out of the way.
Thanks,
Mike
Dear Mike:
You're a smart player. In fact, that is how many of our teams work. When the Golden Touch Craps team does a combined bankroll, we do exactly as you suggest. The shooter just makes a Pass Line bet and then just concentrates on shooting and lets the other members of the team do the betting.
Of course, you have to trust the skill of the teammates you are wagering on because some will have good nights and some will have bad nights. Many of the great blackjack teams wound up having members who hated and distrusted each other. After all the hot player wins a lot of money for the team; the cold player loses. There can't be any blame passed out because even in advantage play this is called "variability."
