Scobe's Quick Tips: #83 and #84: Free Tickets for Low Rollers, Betting Systems

23 January 2004

By Frank Scoblete

Scobe's Quick Tip #83

On nights when a show is in town, if it isn't sold out just before curtain, even low-rollers can get comped to free tickets, often the best seats in the house.

One hour before show time just ask: "Hey, got any tickets to tonight's show?" You'll be surprised how often this can result in an unexpected freebie.

For more information read Ask Barney by Barney Vinson.

Scobe's Quick Tip #84

No betting system can overcome the odds of an independent negative-expectation game.

Whether you increase your bet after a win or decrease your bet after a loss has no effect on the underlying math of the game.

In the long run you will lose the percentage of the house edge on the totality of all the money you bet, regardless of how you bet it!
