You can't change the math of the slot machines. If they are programmed to pay out a certain amount in the long run, they will pay out very close to that amount. But while you can't change the math, you can change machines. If you've lost 1/3 of the money you slotted for slots, take a break and then play a different machine. You'll feel better. Of course, that doesn't mean the new machine will treat you any better but at least you can hope.
