When Golden Touch Craps first decided to have a craps
tournament we figured we could get 32 people to enter. We'd have two tables of
16 each. Well with one month to go before our spectacular weekend of 10
tournaments on July 22 and 23 in Las Vegas – we now have 6 tables with 89
players entered into the tournaments.
That means we only have enough room for 7 more entrants
and then we are sold out – make that SUPER sold out since we are going to have
three times more people than we hoped for. We never expected this kind of
response but GTCers from all over the country are coming to this event. If you
wish to get into this great weekend call FRED at 1-800-944-0406 to sign
up. The cost is just $395 and includes the Awards Dinner on Sunday evening. If
you wish to bring a spouse or friend it is another $30.
Our instructors, who are not in the actual tournaments, will
have head-to-head matches against each other on Sunday, July 23. We also have
several celebrities entering the events: television personality Jean Scott,
author of the Frugal Gambler; John Grochowski, best selling
author and radio host; Richard Armstrong, author of God Doesn't Shoot
Dice: A Divine Comedy; Dr. Don Catlin, mathematician and author of The
Lottery Book: The Truth Behind the Numbers; Dr. Henry Tamburin,
best-selling author and editor of BJ Insider; and well-known actor Barry
Sigismondi, who played Dominator in the History Channel Show The
Dice Dominator. In fact Barry, the "fake Dominator" is going to have a
head-to-head match with the "Real Dominator" and won't that be something to
see?
To top that off we have an independent filmmaker, Roger
Roth, doing a documentary on this event. This guy has two films out
already!
The tournaments aren't the only things this weekend. We will
be revealing our new DVD – The Golden Touch Dice Control DVD – at the
event. This $100,000 DVD is a totally professional production that shows over
200 controlled throws – many in slow motion! We'll also be selling our new
blackjack book, Golden Touch Blackjack Revolution – the easiest
method ever developed for getting an edge at the game. And we'll be revealing
the GRIPPER; a great new device we have developed for making sure your grip is
perfect.
Right now we have 18 tables of 8 people each for the Awards dinner on
Sunday evening July 23 and, as I said, 89 entrants into the tournaments. These
are remarkable numbers. This is going to be the GREATEST craps weekend in
history.
What makes our weekend of tournaments so special? Unlike a casino tournament,
if you bomb out, you wait an hour and you are in another tournament. No one has
ever done such a tournament schedule like this. Casinos don't do this because
they don't want you wasting time at the tournament. They get you into the
tournament so that you'll play at their regular games. These are not gambling
tournaments, of course, just contests of skill – shooter versus shooter.
So we have 7 more spots for the tournaments and 16 more spots for dinner as I
will cap that at 20 tables of 8 each. Onlookers are welcome at $40 for the
tournament days and another $60 for the Awards Dinner. That dinner has gone up
and up and up. Originally it was just $36 per person (we charged $30 for spouses
and friends), now it has climbed to almost $60. Is that inflation or what?
Both days will start at 9AM. Saturday will go to about 5PM and Sunday
will go to 3PM. There will be 6 tournaments on Saturday and 4 tournaments on
Sunday. The instructor face-offs will be on Sunday, just before the World
Championship Tournament, which will award the winner The Captain's
Trophy. Then we take down the craps tables and set the banquet room up for
the Awards dinner, which will begin at 6PM and go to 9PM.
When all is said and done we will have 160 players involved in our weekend.
Truly spectacular.
Here is some more information:
THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES
1. THE COME-OUT CHAMPIONSHIP: The Come-Out roll is won when a 7 or 11 is
rolled. Some shooters shoot for those numbers on the Come-out. Can you be the
best at it?
2. THE HARD WAY CHAMPIONSHIP: How good are you at rolling the hard way numbers
of 4, 6, 8, 10? Can you do 2:2, 3:3, 4:4, and 5:5 enough times to be the
champion? This contest will find out!
3. ULTIMATE CRAPSHOOTER CHAMPIONSHIP: They are the numbers with the highest
house edges and some of the biggest payoffs in the game of craps. Can you roll
the 2, 3, or 12 enough times to make you the champ?
4. THE 6 & 8 CHAMPIONSHIP: The easiest numbers to hit are the 6 and the 8.
Many shooters use the 3-V set to bang out those numbers. Can you make the most
6s and 8s?
5. THE 4 & 10 CHAMPIONSHIP: If you use the 2-V set you are looking to hit
those outside numbers. Can you be the royalty of the outside world?
6. NO SEVENS CHAMPIONSHIP: If you are a right player, the 7 is the number you
want to avoid. Can you avoid it enough to become the best no-sevens champion?
7. MAKE YOUR POINT CHAMPIONSHIP: You establish a point and hit that point. It's
the real game of craps. Can you do it more than your opponents?
8. ON THE HOP CHAMPIONSHIP: The number will be called a certain way – but can
you hit it?
9. IN THE FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP: Can you hit those 16 Field Numbers more than the
other contestants?
10. THE TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS (Sunday, July 23, 2006): The winners and first
runners-up of all the contests will compete in a Golden Touch Craps tournament
of champions. In addition, names will be randomly drawn to fill in all 32 spots
at The Tournament of Champions. Winner of this tournament gets The Captain's
Trophy.
