Odds and the 5-Count

18 May 2005

By Frank Scoblete

Hi, Frank,

I just finished reading The Captains Craps Revolution, and am halfway through Forever Craps. I'm still waiting on the updated version of Beat the Craps out of the Casinos to come out in the following weeks. I just have a quick question on the Doey-Don't betting with the Super-System and the 5-Count method.

The Doey-Don't method is minimizing loses on the 2, 3, 7 and 11, but not on the 12. My question is, after the point 5 count is established, do you put the odds on the pass line, and just keep the original bet on the don't? Or are you not putting odds at all on either the pass or don't pass?

It sounds to me like you are only putting odds on the come bets and not on the pass line. Is this correct?

Thanks for your help.

Jimmy Villella

Dear Jimmy,

Once you are through with the 5-Count, be it Come betting or Pass Line betting, you put up the odds. This is the part of the game you want to get to.

All the best in and out of the casinos!
