How to Win: Advantage Play

There are some players who actually get the edge over the casinos in certain games and on certain machines. That's right; there are ways to beat the house. Casinos obviously aren't happy that some players have figured out the ways to turn the advantages around but no system is fool proof and certainly no system is genius proof either. And some geniuses have analyzed the games and found ways of beating them.

Almost everyone knows that blackjack can be legally beaten by using various techniques, the most popular of which is called card counting. Credited with its creation in the early 1960s, Edward O. Thorp brought the card counting revolution to the fore. In subsequent years many card counting systems were created using Thorp's concepts as jumping off points. Today there are many card counting systems, the easiest to learn and use being Speed Count (see my book Beat Blackjack Now: The Easiest Way to Get The Edge!).

Video Poker can be beaten -- or rather certain video poker machines, those paying back more than 100 percent can be beaten if the right strategies are used.

Believe it or not -- and it is hard to believe -- certain slot machines at certain times can be beaten. These are called banking machines and at certain times the bank has enough money that from this moment until the big hit more money will come out of the machine than will go into the machine. Sadly, too many casino players have no idea that a wealth of knowledge about casino games is available to them. This particular web site, various books, DVDs and private web sites such as Golden Touch offer players the opportunity to become the best they can be. Yes, there are writers and Internet gurus that attempt to proclaim themselves as experts while offering horrendous advice. That's a small problem for those players who decide to read as much as they can read about the games. The poor thinkers will fall by the wayside quite quickly.
