How Do You and the Captain Bet?

Hi, Mr. Scoblete,

I read many of your recent articles and the one about the Captain and Jimmy P. rolling 180+ numbers in craps was fascinating to me.

I have one question about your/Captain's betting since you are both controlled throwers. I have read in your articles that the lowest house edge craps bets are Don't Pass, Don't Come, Come, and Pass, all with the highest possible odds. Other good bets according to your articles are the Buy 4, Buy 10, Place 5, Place 6, Place 8, and Place 9.

I wanted to know if you bet on any or all of these, and if not, what other bets do you make at the craps table? Additionally, do you know of any good $5 minimum craps tables?

Dear Eric:

I try to never make a bet with more than a 2 percent house edge on controlled shooters. I never make a bet with more than a 1.5 percent house edge on random rollers and I bet much much less on them than I do on a controlled shooter. That's it for my betting.

Vegas and Tunica have plenty of $5 tables. Atlantic City has few.
