Dear Frank:
I recently read your book Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution. I practiced daily for two months at home.
First table I hit the boxman said, "We have a Dominator shooter! He's got that Dominator move down." I was pretty nervous at that point. My shooting turned out pretty good, two or three points then seven out. My downfall was not 5-Counting the next 10 shooters. All that I gained on my shooting I lost on the others at the table.
How do I get a table with fewer shooters?
When I started the next morning I hit two points after about 16 rolls and sevened out. Immediately the table filled up. I was back to 30 minutes wait to get dice back.
Yours truly,
Kevin
Dear Kevin:
One: You must use the 5-Count on all the other shooters. This will reduce your exposure by 57%, which means you will only be betting on 43% of the random rolls.
Two: Reduce the amount you bet on the random rollers after they reach the 5-Count. Make it about a fourth of your total action. That should also reduce the hit on your bankroll.
Three: Only make the best bets on those random rollers — pass and come with odds.
Four: The problem with most craps players is that they don't like to be at empty or near empty tables. So any time you start rolling you will find them showing up. Playing early in the morning helps reduce the number of players (for most places) but it's the nature of the game to have people at the tables. Take the dice three or four times and then take a break.
Five: If you have the bankroll ask for a $25 table. That tends to keep a lot of the players away, especially on weekdays. If the casino doesn't have a $25 table open — ask for one. Many times the casinos will go with your request because one $25 player is equal to five $5 players.
