Dear Frank,
I have just had the privilege of reading and finishing Cutting Edge Craps: Advanced Strategies for Serious Players! and I must tell you that your work just keeps getting better and better.
I have made an observation and perhaps I missed it in one of your previous works on the game of craps, and that is on the subject of alcohol consumption. I know, I know you are undoubtedly thinking why would I include a blurb in one of my works on drinking during a craps session when every one knows that it's a very stupid idea?
I started dealing craps for Mr. Harrah in 1967 and even at that time there were some players that had a rudimentary idea about dice setting and a controlled throw (nothing like the Captain although if he played in Tahoe during the late 60s early 70s I probably saw him) any you would not believe how quickly a good shooter went into the toilet after one or two "free" drinks.
Just a thought.
Yours,
Dr. Michael
Dear Doctor Michael:
I am glad you like my work. Cutting Edge Craps does really go where no craps book has gone before! I think it is the most radical craps book ever written. (Okay, okay, I have a high opinion of it!)
Your letter is correct. I have not recently cautioned against drinking at the table. I too have seen players go into the tank when they are tanked. I will keep this in mind when I next write about how to comport oneself while playing.
Since you were a dealer I am sure you have a keen insight into the games and you have seen it all.
I am giving you a free 30-day subscription to my private members-only website at www.goldentouchcraps.com. We have over 5,000 members on this private site and the conversations are interesting, enlightening and fun.
Enjoy!
All the best in and out of the casinos!
