Dear Frank:
I am a small time bettor and gamble about six times a year. I have both the Golden Touch controlled craps and blackjack information.
I find when you really hit a run at either, you better be ready to bet, because as you know, these runs normally do not last forever. After investing in the books I normally come close to breaking even, or walk away a winner. It is so much more fun now.
My observation. When starting a throw at the craps table I find I end up with much better numbers going after what I call really good numbers. Those who just sling the dice down the table or go only after a 7 at the beginning of their throw, or after they make a point, are wasting "Golden" opportunities.
Dick
Hi Dick:
I am glad that you are doing so well. I think you would do even better if you did the following:
- "These runs" are really not predictable into the future so betting into them is not the best way to handle your wagering.
- As you wrote, going after box numbers is the way to go but you should use come betting to get on the 5 and 9, 4 and 10. Placing the high house edge box numbers is not a good idea.
- Setting for the 7 on the come-out roll is a good thing, at least the first time you get the dice before you have Come bets up.
- Playing is indeed fun but as we say in Golden Touch: "Winning is the most fun!"
For your excellent letter I am giving you a free 10-day subscription to my private website at www.goldentouchcraps.com. Our site has over 5,000 members, and the discussions are enjoyable, interesting and fun. I think you will enjoy it.
All the best in and out of the casinos!
